6 Histotechnician I Performs limited activities involved in histologic preparations which include equipment maintenance and operation, supplies, routine H&E staining, labeling of specimens, cassettes and slides, filing, processing paperwork, coverslipping and supervised embedding or microtomy, but not both. 7 Histotechnician II  Performs more routine activities as described above and is involved with the more complex set-up activities in the department. May provide guidance/training to lower level technicians. A.A. degree

15 Medical Director Responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of surgical pathology and cytopathology test results. Serves as a primary technical authority regarding clinical laboratory procedures and interfaces with patient physicians. Review cases as needed for assurance of diagnostic consistency. May supervise one or more pathologists and other laboratory personnel. M.D. or D.O. degree required
16 Medical Lab Technician I Performs routine lab tests. Sets up/monitors automated test procedures. Performs manual procedures requiring judgment. Uses pre-calibrated and/or automated devices. A.S. MLT or B.S. LifeSci. & 1-3 years experience
17 Medical Lab Technician II Performs routine lab tests. Sets up/monitors automated test procedures. Performs manual procedures requiring judgment. Uses pre-calibrated and/or automated devices. May provide training to lower level technicians. A.S. MLT or B.S. LifeSci. & 3-6 years experience
18 Medical Technologist I (a.k.a. Clinical Lab Scientist I) Responsible for routine and non-routine activities pertaining to lab testing and the reporting of results. Performs moderately difficult to complex tasks in a specific field including chemistry, hematology, etc. B.S. Life Science and 1-3 years experience
19 Medical Technologist II (a.k.a. Clinical Lab Scientist II) Responsible for the more difficult/complex lab testing activities and the reporting of results. Serves as the most senior level lab tested due to experience level. May provide guidance and/or training to lower level technologists and technicians. B.S. MT and 3-6 years experience
20 Phlebotomist I

Performs routine collections (venipuncture, skin puncture, urine, throat cultures, etc.), and ensures accurate labeling. Accountable for the collection of accurate patient, demographic and billing information (phlebotomy only or drug screen only collector).

H.S. or equivalent and 1-3 years prior experience preferred
21 Phlebotomist II

Performs routine collections (venipuncture, skin puncture, urine, throat cultures, etc.), and ensures accurate labeling. Accountable for the collection of accurate patient, demographic and billing information (phlebotomy only or drug screen only collector). May also be required to act as coach, mentor, instructor and resource person for new employees who have completed the required phlebotomy training program.

H.S. or equivalent and 3+ years prior experience preferred
